Dear courageous commoners

Brussels has fully landed in autumn 🍂. And as the days get colder, the events at the Commons Hub seem to get cosier. We started sharing weekly potluck lunches, and kicked off our wellbeing Fridays. Winter will feel warm at the Commons Hub 💫

September and October were filled with new encounters and exciting visits, we had wonderful open days and official opening weekend, and we welcomed many new members and new creative partnerships. In this newsletter we look back, and we look forward, and a warm invitation to pass by!

Opening our doors

On 27 and 28 September we opened our doors for curious visitors. We build up a full programme for two days touching the topics we want to bring into the Commons Hub. From full on tech deep dives to conscious human relating and circling, leadership workshops and commons games, presentations by local coöperatives and belly laughters in the evening with stand up comedy.

A big thank you to Tournevie, BruPower, Commons Lab,

On Thursday 17th Momentum Facilitation organised a watch party of the IDG summit 2024, which took place in Norway. Most of us are familiar with the SDGs, the IDG or Inner Development Goals ar less known. The vision at IDG is a world where inner development is unlocking humanity’s power to build a flourishing future for people and the planet. This isn’t just about personal growth; inner development is a transformative force that propels us to engage collectively with the challenges of our times. 20 facilitators and coaches gathered at the Commons Hub to take a collective deep dive alongside the program of the summit.

The inner development framework:

Civic Square Birmingham

A groundbreaking project and an incredible example of moving needles in demonstrating neighbourhood-scale civic infrastructure for social, ecological, economic, and climate transition, is Civiq Square Birmingham. We had to honour to welcome them for warm visit and conversation. Read more about their work and their integration of the doughnut economy. They donated their handbook to the Commons Hub, feel very welcome to come have a cup of tea in our coaches to dive into this inspiring project.
